On 26-30 September 2016 in Barcelona took place the annual international INSPIRE Conference. This year the main theme of the conference was “INSPIRing sustainable development” and its participants could learn how the implementation of the INSPIRE Directive contributes to the European Interoperability Framework.
At the conference representatives of the Central Statistical Office performed:
- Mr. Janusz Dygaszewicz (the Director of the Programming and Coordination of Statistical Surveys Department, President of the European Forum for Geography and Statistics – EFGS) – presentation entitled„The European Forum for Geospatial Statistics – Benefits and challenges of INSPIRE in the field of statistics”
- Mr. Mirosław Migacz, the Chief specialist in the Programming and Coordination of Statistical Surveys Department) – presentation on the work carried out within the framework of the series of grants “Merging statistics and geospatial information in Member States” on the workshop organized by Eurostat.
