New national population data from the 2021 Census – in a 125m × 125m grid

In the Resource Catalog of the Geostatistics Portal, we have made available new national population data in a 125m × 125m grid based on data obtained from the 2021 National Population and Housing Census (NSP 2021).

The layer is also available as resource no. 32596 titled: “NSP 2021 National population data in grid (125m; 250m; 500m; 1km) / 2021 census data. Population in grid (125m; 250m; 500m; 1km)” in the Resource Manager. Data on the total population in a grid with a 125m side length have been published for regional capital cities (due to performance and usability of the presentation).

The data can be downloaded from the Geostatistics Portal. To do this:

log in to the Resource Manager as an external user,
after logging in, in the filtering bar under the “Resource availability” filter, click “x” to remove the restriction to your own resources (“My”),
then in the search field enter the name “NSP2021_TOT_grid125m_miasta” or a specific resource number – in this case it is 32680,
in the resource preview, click the “Export” button and select the data format (available formats: geojson, shp, csv, kml).
